VIDBBI-1 Beginning Iaido I

Companion volume to Kim's BBI #1: How to dress, fold the hakama, walk, turn, hold the sword, etiquette, and a full wrist workout with tanren bo. 

VIDBBI-2 Beginning Iaido II

Companion volume to Kim's BBI #1. Warm-ups, strengthening exercises, stretches, suburi, exercises for kata, more. 

These first two beginner tapes are suitable for anyone who wishes to begin practice with the Japanese sword, they are not specifically aimed at iaido practice. 

VIDBBI-3 Seitei Gata Iaido I

Companion volume to Kim's BBI #2. Several views of the kata (at least 5 angles) plus comments on practice aimed at common beginner mistakes. 

VIDBBI-8 Seitei Gata Iaido II

Companion volume to Kim's BBI #2. This tape features Kim Taylor demonstrating 1-12 of the ZNKR iaido set and pointing out the main features of each one, with particular reference to 11 and 12.

VIDBBI-7 Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu Oku Iai, Tachiwaza no Bu

Companion volume to Kim's BBI #5. Demonstrations of the kata from different angles with detailed descriptions and comments, 2 hours long. These are the standing techniques and the three from seiza (itomagoi). 

Videos four to seven all show the complete set from front and side, then each technique is demonstrated and described. Finally, the set is performed once more from front and side.

VIDBBI-9 Iaido for Everyone 

ZNKR iaido for students with disabilities. This video features Kim Taylor and Ed Chart explaining the modifications that can be made to iaido practice in order to accomodate students with disabilities, limited mobility or range of movement.

VIDBBI-10 Keshi Ryu Iaido 

This video features Kim Taylor demonstrating Keshi Ryu Iaido as it is performed in the Sei Do Kai. This is a set of 5 standing techniques which is quick and easy to learn and teach. The tape is one hour long. 


VIDBBI-11a Niten Ichiryu Tachi Seiho katas 1-5

This video and 11b outline the basics of Miyamoto Musashi's Niten Ichiryu and the specifics of the first set of 12 kata, long sword vs long sword (Tachi Seiho). See the instructional manuals page for a text outlining these kata.

VIDBBI-14 Tachi Uchi no Kurai 2010

The Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu contains a set of partner practice with bokuto called Tachi Uchi no Kurai. This video outlines the basic forms of this set.

VIDBBI-15 MJER Omori ryu Riai

This is Kim's explanation of the Omori ryu. It's not an instructional tape, see VIDBBI 4 for that, instead it's an explanation of distance, timing, and other things for those who have already learned the set.
